Nicaragua Brings Charges Against Germany Over Gaza Conflict #

Nicaragua is taking its legal battle over the Gaza conflict to the International Court of Justice, accusing Germany of facilitating genocide and violating the Genocide Convention by supplying Israel with arms and financial aid. Nicaragua is requesting emergency measures to compel Germany to stop supporting Israel during wartime. The case also raises questions about the responsibility of countries that have supplied weapons to Israel. Germany, Israel’s second-largest arms provider, has granted the International Court of Justice full jurisdiction in the matter. This is the third case before the court this year related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
