Another former top business leader in China has been expelled from the Chinese Communist Party as part of the ongoing crackdown on the country’s financial sector. Tang Shuangning, the ex-chairman and party chief of the China Everbright Group, was expelled for “serious violations of disciplines and laws,” according to a statement by the country’s central anti-corruption agency. The investigation revealed that Tang had neglected his duties, failed to address financial risks, and accepted bribes. Tang’s suspected crimes will now be reviewed by prosecutors, and any illegally obtained income and property will be confiscated.
