China racing ahead on plans to dominate solar energy industry

China’s solar energy industry has experienced significant growth, surpassing the United States in terms of solar panel installations. Last year, China installed a record number of solar panels and decreased the wholesale price of panels by almost half. The country also witnessed a notable increase in the export of fully assembled solar panels and key components. Meanwhile, the United States and Europe are putting efforts into reviving their renewable energy production. However, China remains at the forefront of the solar energy sector.
